{"id":1610,"date":"2023-09-01T07:42:24","date_gmt":"2023-09-01T07:42:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fingalhead.com\/?p=1610"},"modified":"2023-10-04T08:33:19","modified_gmt":"2023-10-04T08:33:19","slug":"fingal-head-community-planning-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fingalhead.com\/index.php\/2023\/09\/01\/fingal-head-community-planning-team\/","title":{"rendered":"Fingal Head Community Planning Team"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Fingal Head Community Planning Team (<span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips3'>FHCPT<\/span>) has been established to support the Fingal Head Community in preserving, protecting, and improving Fingal Head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips3'>FHCPT<\/span> will be made up of local volunteers and include the involvement of all groups within the community including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Residents of the Fingal Head community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fingal Head Community Association (<span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips7'>FHCA<\/span>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fingal Head Coastcare<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rovers Surf Club<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Primary School and P&amp;C<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sailing Club<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Local businesses, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The role of the <span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips3'>FHCPT<\/span> is to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop, maintain and update a 20-year Community Plan;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify and scope out projects aligned with the plan;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Liaise with the Tweed Shire Council (TSC);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communicate with Fingal Head Community about project progress and community plan updates;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Seek funding as required,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitate, and potentially coordinate, the execution of projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The <span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips7'>FHCA<\/span> has formally established the <span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips3'>FHCPT<\/span> as a subcommittee of <span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips7'>FHCA<\/span> to allow the <span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips3'>FHCPT<\/span> to operate in a legally compliant and responsible manner, for the short-term at least.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fingal Head Community Plan<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips6'>FHCP<\/span>, (also known as a Local Community Plan or Neighbourhood Plan), is a planning document that reflects the unique characteristics, challenges, and opportunities of the Fingal Head community over the next 20 years with specific emphasis on actions to enhance the quality of life, social well- being, and physical environment of the neighbourhood. It may cover areas such as local infrastructure, community services, land use, heritage preservation, environmental initiatives, and economic development specific to that community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips6'>FHCP<\/span> is an evolving document that is initiated, managed and maintained by the Fingal Head Community Planning Team (<span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips3'>FHCPT<\/span>), a subcommittee of the Fingal Head Community Association (<span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips7'>FHCA<\/span>). The document should always reflect the current views, characteristics, challenges and opportunities affecting the Fingal Head community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The TSC must approve the Fingal Head Community Plan prior to its adoption within the council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vision and Community Values<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>During 2019, the community in conjunction with the Tweed Shire Council collaborated and commenced the Fingal Head Locality Plan.
