Fingal Head Community Action Team – Information and Awareness Session

SES are hosting an information and awareness session about our Fingal Head community establishing a Community Action Team CAT for future weather events.
The session will answer:
- What is a CAT?
- What is the purpose of having a CAT in the community?
- What is required to participate in a CAT for Fingal Head?
- Who can be involved?
- What training may be provided?
- What is required to volunteer during community emergencies?
- How will a Fingal Head CAT be integrated with local SES units?
- What are the benefits to Fingal Head residents in establishing a CAT?
The session will also include:
- Information on how a CAT can provide smaller communities and groups with an opportunity to volunteer with SES.
- Information on identifying existing skills and experiences of volunteers to assist in severe weather events
- Information on basic training for volunteers provided by SES to help prepare their community and keep people safe during severe weather events.
- How volunteers can undertake further training with SES as volunteers.
